On Saturday, October 10th, 2015 the Dryden GM Ice Dogs’ Head Coach/GM Kurt Walsten and the entire team played host to 32 avid hockey fans in the team’s “Fun Day with the Dryden GM Ice Dogs”. Participants were able to spend two sessions on the ice skating with their favourite players and being run through drills by Coach Walsten. The day also included lunch with the team, a movie and fun swim.
The team and participants also painted one of their finger nails blue in honour of the #polishedman campaign to raise awareness to end violence and sexual assault against children. They also challenged the other teams in the SIJHL to do the same.
