DRYDEN, ON:  The Dryden GM Ice Dogs has added size to their blueline for the 2017/18 season.

The team has signed defenseman Evan Cusmano (December 3rd, 1997) from Abbotsford, BC.  Cusmano played the 2016/17 season with the Virden Oil Capitals of the MJHL. With the acquisition of 20 yr old Evan Cusmano the team will bring added depth to their blueline with him having played Jr A in the SJHL and MJHL respectively.

Kurt Walsten, Head Coach and General Manager of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs says that Cusmano will be an all around valuable addition to the team on and off the ice, “Evan will be a tough player to play against because he is bringing with him a large, physical presence (6’3″ 275 lbs) on the ice at both ends of the rink and will be seeing lots of playing time. The role he has on the ice will carry over off the ice as Evan is known as being the type of player that will do whatever needs to be done for his team as well as being a strong leader.  We look forward to having him on the blueline. Welcome to the Dog Pound.”
