Bracko scores 5 as Dryden drills Minnesota

DRYDEN, Ont. – Highlighted by Jacen Bracko’s five-goal, one-assist performance, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs erupted for a season-high 14 goals in a 14-1 romp over the Minnesota Iron Rangers Thursday in Superior International Junior Hockey League contest at Memorial Arena.

Things went Dryden’s way from the onset as they scored three times in the first frame with Kris Hamlin tallying twice while Bracko had the other.

It continued from there for the GM Ice Dogs in the middle session as they exploded for nine markers, including three more from Bracko.

Ted Davis, with a pair, as well as singles courtesy of Carson Lux, Evans Walls, Woody Galbraith and Malcolm Huemmert to add to the onslaught.

Bracko added his fifth of the night and league-best 46th of the season early in the third before Garrett Wojcicki put the Iron Rangers on the board at 3:55.

Conner Mowatt then completed the Dryden blowout 10 minutes later to round out the night’s scoring.

Eric Stout chipped in with five assists in the romp.

The GM Ice Dogs outshot Minnesota 45-20 with Jacob Gnidziejko picking up the win and Jaeger Reed the loss.
