THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Jacen Bracko has been named its Play It Again Sports Player of the Week for the period ending March 11.
In four outings during the week that was, the 20-year-old from Calgary, Alta., amassed 11 points in all, including a league-best seven goals helping Dryden move into a first-place tie in the SIJHL’s regular season standings with the Thief River Falls Norskies, heading into the final week prior to the start of the playoffs.
Currently riding a 13-game point streak, Bracko tops all SIJHL skaters in both goals and points with 47 and 80 respectively.
Also earning consideration for player of the week honours was Brendan Gillis, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars; Parker Simsonson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Jacob Siebenga, (F) English River Miners; Cole Allan, (F) Fort Frances Lakers and Mihali See, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers.
