Ice Dogs participate in Wal-Mart “Score For A Cause”

The Dryden Ice Dogs are once again participating in Wal-Mart’s “Score For A Cause” campaign, and the team is pleased to report that this year’s proceeds will be donated to the Dryden Mayor’s Committee for Children and Youth. Wal-Mart donates $1 for every assist, $3 for every goal and $50 for each shutout. Keep checking back to see what the Ice Dogs have raised in play!!

Ice Dogs lend a helping hand

Seven members of the Dryden Ice Dogs came out on Sept. 26 to assist the family of local resident, Rachel Ouwehand. With Ouwehand suffering from a neuromuscular disorder, the neighbours had a wheelchair ramp that had been paid forward previoulsy by Terry Robinson. Wanting to pay it forward again, the ramp was offered to the Ouwehand family, and some assistance to move it was needed. Mother, Lynne, contacted the Dryden Ice Dogs, knowing they did community involvement work, and was able to have the ramp moved to their own home, to better assist the needs of daughter, Rachel.
