Jordan Larson tallied twice and set-up two others to help lead the Fort Frances Lakers past the visiting Dryden Ice Dogs 5-3 Tuesday in Superior International Junior Hockey League action at Ice for Kids Arena. THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS 4 DRYDEN ICE DOGS 3 (SHOOTOUT)—At the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay the North Stars rallied from a two-goal deficit to edge visiting Dryden 4-3 in a shootout. The Ice Dogs would jump out to a 2-0 lead after one period courtesy of a pair of tallies from Ryan Lobreau. THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS 6 DRYDEN ICE DOGS 2—Newcomer Marc Nother, acquired earlier this week from Wellington of the OJHL, made 28 saves in his SIJHL debut to backstop Thunder Bay to the win. Thirteen was the lucky number of the last Dryden Ice Dogs game. Defeating the Iron Range Ironheads, the newest addition to the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) with a final score of 13-0. The Dogs saw their first match-up against the American team on Sat., Oct. 8 and defeated the Iron Range team with a score of 5-1.
