The Wal-Mart Score For The Cause, is a fundraising Campaign where Dryden Wal-Mart and the Dryden Ice Dogs Team up, and raise funds for the
Dryden Mayor’s Committee For Children & Youth and The Youth Centre. For Goals, Assists and Shutouts, Wal-Mart will be taking the following, and dontating the funds to both groups on behalf of
Wal-Mart and the Dryden Ice Dogs:

DRYDEN’S YOUTH CENTRE HISTORY/BACKGROUND
The Dryden Youth Centre is a program initiated by the City of Dryden to promote a safe environment for local youth. The Dryden Youth Centre promotes commitment, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and FUN! The Dryden Youth Centre offers inclusive programming and activities for youth to gain confidence and learn life-long lessons.
MAYOR’S COMMITTEE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH HISTORY/BACKGROUND
In 1998, Mayor Roger Valley established the Mayor’s Committee for Children and Youth, in order to assess services to children/youth, in the Dryden area. A Universal Recreation committee was formed to address the issue of providing the opportunity for children and youth facing financial barriers, to participate in local recreational activities. Since its formation, the committee has provided financial assistance for cultural and recreational activities to over 300 children per year.
