Ice Dogs defeat Iron Range 4-3

At Hibbing, Minn., the Ice Dogs rallied with three unanswered third period tallies to defeat Iron Range 4-3.

The Ironheads grabbed an early two-goal lead thanks to Benjamin Brouillard and Shamus O’Neill.

Thomas Greene’s 19th of the campaign brought Dryden to within one before the first period had expired.

Christopher Andre extended the Iron Range cushion late in the middle frame as he scored with 23 seconds remaining in the session.

It was all Ice Dogs in the third as Austin Lewis cued the comeback at 5:55.

He would then set-up Tyson Holder for the equalizer at 12:44 before Holder struck again with the game-winner just over a minute later to complete the rally.

Dean Shepherdson registered the win making 32 stops while Chris Stokke was saddled with the loss as he faced 41 shots in defeat.

With the victory Dryden improved to 22-20-5 and the first-year Ironheads slipped to 6-36-2.
