Dryden Ice Dogs forward Ben McClellan has committed to play hockey next season for the Augsburg Auggies, members of the MIAC. At Augsburg, McClellan will be joining former Ice Dogs teammate and brother BJ. Ben is the 3rd McClellan member of his family to play there, as their Dad, Bill, played his collegiate hockey at Augsburg as well.
“Benny took advantage of the opportunities Dryden presented him, on and off the ice. For two years, he became a part of the community and that, just as much as his on-ice contributions, is what I really appreciated about Benny. He is a character kid and if he applies himself both on and off the ice to the fullest of his abilities, he will have a bright future.”

“Dryden has been a great place for me to mature. I have met a lot of great people, and had a whole lot of fun. Playing in Dryden has helped me become more responsible, reliable and accountable. I feel that this will help me be successful not only playing hockey but as a student. I also want to thank Dryden for all this city has given me, and making me a better person.”
