Baker Accepts Invitation To Marian University

23576_377545843281_753533281_3795298_5651402_nFormer Dryden Ice Dogs goaltender Josh Baker has accepted an invitation to play NCAA hockey for the Marian University Sabres (MCHA conference). Marian is based out of Fon du Lac, WI.

” Its been my goal to play college hockey for a long time now, and I would like to thank Clint for his commitment to helping me advance, the the rest of the Ice Dog organization, and to the past teams I have been a part of, especially the Schreiber Diesel organization. My biggest thanks has to go to my teammates, without them and the success that we had this past year, I don’t think I would have had this opportunity. THANKS GUYS! miss you all”

Defenseman Kevin Raine with a Young Ice Dogs Fan.

It is always a nerve racking day for Players and Parents as the Ontario Hockey League prepares for the Draft Day which happened yesterday, Saturday May 1, 2010.  And it was an anxious day for the Raine family, as they waited to hear that son Kevin would be selected in the 7th round by the London Knights.

Dryden Native, Kevin Raine,  who played defense for the Dryden Ice Dogs during the Post Season and was a member of the Kenora Thistles AAA Midget program was selected 141st overall, during the 7th round of the OHL Draft.

The Dryden Ice Dogs staff, players and executive would like to take this opportunity to Congratulate Kevin on his achievement and wish him luck in the future.
