Ice Dogs Look To Rebound After Frustrating Loss Last Night

On a day that was a VERY VICTORIOUS day for Canada at the 2010 Olympics, it wasn’t the case at the Dryden Memorial Arena Friday night.  The Dryden Ice Dogs lost to the Fort William Northstars 8-0 in the second last game of the regular season.  With 2 in the first, 4 in the second and 2 more in the third, the Fort William Northstars would walk away with the first of 2 games in Dryden.  Nothing would go right for the Ice Dogs in last night’s game, being outshot 31 to 17.

With no hockey on the schedule tonight in the Olympics, the Ice Dogs are hoping to pack the pound, as they look to rebound against the Fort William Northstars tonight at the Dryden Memorial Arena.  GAMETIME tonight is a LATE GAME with the puckdrop at 8:30PM (CST).

Tonight’s game is the LAST GAME of the LEAGUES schedule before playoffs.  Despite the loss last night, the standings are set going into the playoffs with the Fort William Northstars in top spot, and the Dryden Ice Dogs in second spot heading into the playoffs.  In other S.I.J.H.L action, the Sioux Lookout Flyers defeated the Fort Frances Lakers to clinch 3rd place in the standings, as they edged the K&A Wolverines by 2 pts for 3rd place.
