NWLive.ca will now be bringing GREAT ICEDOGS ACTION to your Computer Screen!

Thanks to a New Local Media Company, NWLIVE in partnership with the Dryden Ice Dogs will be bringing you LIVE ICE DOGS ACTION ONLINE!  Last Friday, as the Dryden Ice Dogs hosted the Fort Frances Lakers, NWLIVE tested the possiblities of streaming games live online, and was successful.  Starting Wednesday March 24, 2010 as the Ice Dogs host the Fort Frances Lakers in Game 5 of the semi finals, Families and Fans from all over will have the option to watch the game Live out of the Dryden Memorial Arena.

“Since we came up with the concept of NWLive broadcasting, Ice Dogs and SIJHL games were always part of the plan and I’m very pleased that the team shares this vision. Broadcasting these games is not about getting rich – it’s a high cost medium for us to produce – it’s about the game, the team and the sport.” Company owner Josh Johnson said when asked about this GREAT NEW way to watch the games.  ” The highlight of my previous career as a reporter were the moments spent covering the Ice Dogs and other teams. It was the feeling that you were part of something bigger than a game, it was like being in a big family with people like Mike and Shawn, Jordan Chong, Joe Harding, B-Mac, Travis Linklater, Marlon Gardner, Graeme Harrington, coach Larry and the list goes on and on. For us broadcasting these games isn’t about profit it’s about doing what we love and creating new memories with a new coaching staff, volunteers and of course the players and we’re excited to work together to see what we can accomplish as members of the team.”

At the cost of $10 per game, Families and Fans can log in, and watch the GREAT action everyone at the Dogpound is watching.  The Ice Dogs encourage the families and fans that CAN come out, to come out and enjoy, however realized there was a big collection of Fans and Families that couldn’t make it to the games, and now they can watch from where ever they are.  Below is the link to NWLive.ca, and as Wednesday approaches, we will have a permanent link to the Broadcast.
