Series Tied at 1

It was a game the Dryden Ice Dogs would like to take back.  The Fort Frances Lakers came to play, as they defeated the Dryden Ice Dogs in the second game of the best of 7 Semi Final Series.

What seemed to have been a different start for the Ice Dogs, quickly turned around after the Ice Dogs got on the board first, at 3:59 of the First Period as Brenden Church found the back of the net, with the assist going to Kevin Burton and Mike Lennon.  Fort Frances would respond with 2 unanswered goals, to head into the 2nd period, 2-1 over the Ice Dogs.

Only one goal would be scored in the second, as the Fort Frances Lakers would go up 2 goals, and make the score 3-1 after 40 Minutes of play.  The Lakers would then increase their lead and make it 4-1 early in the 3rd period.  At 10:03, the Ice Dogs would seem to come to life, as Kyle Heck would find the back of the net, with the feed coming from Jon Mitchell, to make it 4-2.  Despite all last minute efforts, the Ice Dogs would not come back in this one, as the Lakers would tie the series up, and defeat the Dryden Ice Dogs 4-2.
