Targets Are Set On First Place!
The Dryden Ice Dogs pulled out of Dryden this morning at 8:00AM to start heading to Thunder Bay, for what will be one of the biggest and most important weekend series so far of the year. The Ice Dogs are facing the first place Fort William Northstars tonight and tomorrow night. Only 3 pts behind the first place Northstars, the Dryden Ice Dogs could take sole possession of first place in the S.I.J.H.L. With a win tonight, the dogs will put themselves only a point behind the Northstars, putting them in a great position to take first place Saturday night.
The Northstars are expected to start Guillaume Piche (.906 SV%) between the pipes tonight, as Joshua Baker (.930SV%) is expected to start for the Ice Dogs. Currently Dryden is sitting on top of the Special Teams leaders with a 29.94 Powerplay percentage, while the Northstars has 4 members on the top 10 Scoring Leaders. Dryden is currently sitting with 6 players on the scoring leader board, with 3 players tied at 32pts.
