S.I.J.H.L Names Jon Mitchell the 2010-2011 Pizza Hut Player of the Year

It is with GREAT honour that the Dryden Ice Dogs share with you, the LEAGUE announcement of this years RECIEPIENT of the S.I.J.H.L Pizza Hut Player of the Year Award.  Dryden Ice Dog Captian, Jon Mitchell was honoured today with this years S.I.J.H.L Pizza Hut Player of the Year award, which marks the FIRST TIME in the teams history that a Dryden Ice Dog recieved this award.  This award will go up on Jon’s resume beside this years Defenseman Of The Year award that Mitchell recieved only a week ago.  Despite missing nearly a month of action, Jon Mitchell sits 12th overall in League Scoring with 48 points on 15 goals and 33 assists.  When asked how he felt after hearing the news, Mitchell had this to say; “Definitely a huge honour joining a list of players like that “  In the 10th year of the league as well as the 10th year for the Dryden Ice Dogs, the fit couldn’t be better.  ” It wouldn’t have been possible without my teammates and head coach Clint Mylymok ” Mitchell added.  Jon Mitchell will now represent the S.I.J.H.L as the League’s nominee for the RBC Canadian Jr. A Player of the year, which will be announced during the 2011 Royal Bank Cup which runs April 30 – May 8 in Camrose, Alberta.

The Dryden Ice Dogs organization would like to Congratulate Jon Mitchell on recieving this award, and thanks him for his Dedication to the team the last 3 years.
