9-Year Old Fan Dreaming of Ice Dogs

Austin Randell is a 9-year old resident of Dryden and a big Dryden GM Ice Dogs fan.  During the 2014/15 SIJHL season Dryden GM Ice Dogs’ captain, Derek McPhail, collected broken hockey sticks for Austin’s mom, Melissa Wilson.  Sticks were collected so that Melissa could make a custom headboard for her son out of them.  Here is the result of a great team effort.

Melissa is also a big Dryden GM Ice Dogs’ fan.  Not only does she attend their home games and support them in whatever way she can, she also provides the team with free haircuts, at a Cut Above the Rest (in Gale’s Nails), throughout the season.

Thanks to Melissa for all you do for the team.

Thanks to Dryden GM Ice Dogs’ captain Derek McPhail for your dedication to the community and its fans.

Sleep well Austin, may you count goals instead of sheep!
