SIJHL announces suspension
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Junior Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham announced the following suspension resulting from an incident during SIJHL Game No. 23, English River Miners @ Dryden GM Ice Dogs, played on Friday, Oct. 21:
MARK ZIOBRO, DRYDEN GM ICE DOGS – TWO (2) GAMES
Ziobro is suspended for his actions under rule 6.4 (a) after incurring a major penalty for checking from behind and subsequent automatic game misconduct for the incident during the second period of the contest vs. English River.
The player’s suspension is for the following games:
SIJHL Game No. 25: Saturday. Oct.22 @ English River (SERVED)
SIJHL Game No. 29: Wednesday, Oct. 26 vs. Thunder Bay
