GM Ice Dogs 11th; North Stars 19th in latest CJHL rankings
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced its weekly Top 20 rankings Monday and two surging Superior International Junior Hockey League sides garnered national attention.
Fresh off a three-win weekend road trip, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs were slotted 11th overall while the Thunder Bay North Stars, who have gone 6-0-1-0 in their past seven outings, snagged the No. 19 slot.
Dryden and Thunder Bay are currently tied for top spot in the SIJHL standings with 30 points apiece.
The 14-3-2-0 GM Ice Dogs do hold one game in hand on the 14-4-2-0 North Stars.
Still No. 1 in the 132-team CJHL is College Français de Longueuil remains the No. 1 team in the CJHL for yet another week.
There was also no change in second and third in the listings as the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL) and Steinbach Pistons (MJHL) maintain their place in the top three.
