Dryden moves to 9th in CJHL rankings

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Rolling right along in the Superior International Junior Hockey League standings has helped the Dryden GM Ice Dogs move up a notch in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League Top 20 rankings, which were released Monday.

The GM Ice Dogs were ranked ninth in the 132-team CJHL this week.

SIJHL-leading Dryden has gone 12-0-1-0 in their past 13 outings and have widened their lead atop the league standings.

The GM Ice Dogs are 31-4-4-0 overall and are now 15 points ahead of the second place Thunder Bay North Stars while holding a game in hand as well.

Meanwhile nationally, winners of 17 games in succession, has helped the Brooks Bandits (AJHL) take over as the new No. 1 team in the CJHL this week.

The Georgetown Raiders (OJHL) slipped to No. 2, with Les Cobras de Terrebonne (LHJQ) jumping to No. 3, Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJQ) being slotted in at No. 4 and the Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL) ranked No. 5.
