GM Ice Dogs Bracko named SIJHL – Play It Again Sports player of the week
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Jacen Bracko has been named its Play It Again Sports player of the week for the period ending Jan. 29.
In three outings this past week the 19-year-old native of Calgary, Alta., scored and had points in each of them helping Dryden skate to a trio of convincing victories.
Bracko began by lighting up the rival Thunder Bay North Stars for four goals as part of an 8-0 romp Tuesday at the SIJHL Showcase in Thief River Falls, Minn.
He then added another marker the following day aiding in the GM Ice Dogs 7-2 triumph over the Minnesota Iron Rangers at the Showcase.
Wrapping up his impressive week, Bracko tacked on two more markers Saturday and chipped in with three assists as Dryden rolled over Thunder Bay 7-2 at Memorial Arena.
With goals in five consecutive games in which he’s amassed 11 in total to go along with five helpers, Bracko has soared up to second in SIJHL scoring with 60 points in 39 games notching a league-leading 32 tallies and 28 assists.
Also earning consideration for Play It Again Sports player of the week honours were the following:
