Dryden drills Thunder Bay 7-1

DRYDEN, Ont. – Eric Stout had two goals as he was one of six skaters on the Dryden GM Ice Dogs that had multi-point nights as the went on to drill the Thunder Bay North Stars 7-1 Wednesday evening in Superior International Junior Hockey League action at Memorial Arena.

Dryden set the tone in the contest early on as they stormed out to a 3-0 cushion before the first period was half done on tallies from Stout, Evan Walls and Brandon Lawson.

Thunder Bay did get one back off the stick of Bradley Thrower to make it a 3-1 game after 20 minutes.

It was more GM Ice Dogs in the middle session however as they tacked on two more in the stanza to go up by four thanks to markers from Stout and Trevor Kavanaugh.

Dryden then finished off the one-side affair with additional goals in the third from Trey Palermo and Woody Galbraith.

Jacen Bracko and Luke Bellerose chipped in with two assists each for the home side.

Jacob Gnidziejko made 23 stops to record the win for the GM Ice Dogs while Brandon Bodnar faced 44 shots in defeat for the North Stars.
