Team Continues to Add to Core Offence

DRYDEN, ON:  Following a successful main camp, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs continue to building a winning team by adding to their roster.  The team announces that they have acquired, forward, Jacob Siebenga (December 6, 1999).

The Surrey, BC native brings with him experience in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) , Pacific Junior Hockey League (PIJHL) as well as time in the SIJHL.  “Jacob adds another layer of offence to what is shaping up to be one of the deepest forward cores we have put together in recent years. He’s a big player who is capable of scoring as well as facilitating his teammates. He is a welcome addition to the Dryden GM Ice Dogs,” Mike Sveinson, Team President.

Siebenga’s goals for the 2018/19 are in keeping with his teammates’ mission to win the league, and be contenders at the RBC Cup, “The biggest excitement for me, this upcoming season, is getting an opportunity to play with a group of winners.   We have a great group of returning players who know what it takes to win and I’m looking forward to joining that winning culture. The goal for me is clear, win the league championship, and then secure a spot in the RBC Cup.”

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs open the 2018/19 season at home on Friday, September 21st, 2018 when they take on the Fort Frances Lakers.  Puck drop is at the Dryden Memorial Arena at 7:30pm.
