Dryden’s Halterman tabbed SIJHL Play It Again Sports Player of the Week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that Dryden GM Ice Dogs first-year forward Xavier Halterman has been selected its Play It Again Sports Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 20.

In three outings during the time frame, the 19-year-old from St. Albert, Alta., produced points in all of the them, registering five in total, helping Dryden pick up a pair of wins and four points in the standings.

Halterman had a goal and dished out four assists to aid the GM Ice Dogs offensive cause while doubling his point totals so far during the campaign as he now as he now has a pair of tallies and seven helpers to his credit in his first dozen SIJHL games.

Also earning consideration for player of the week honours were MacKenzie Flett, (D) Fort Frances Lakers; Carson Lux, (D) Red Lake Miners; Jacob Brown, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars; Tyler Johnson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies and Jack Jones, (D) Wisconsin Lumberjacks.
